ScreenSkills has partnered with Share My Telly Job are running a first of its kind job-sharing programme, offering placement for job-share pairs in craft and tech roles in HETV. These include roles in the following departments: art department, hair and make up, costume and wardrobe, sound and camera.
They will be pairing up to three job-share pairs and partnering them with upcoming HETV productions. The programme will include training, coaching and ongoing support.
This programme is aimed at professionals working or returning to work in craft and tech roles in HETV who would benefit from a job-sharing opportunity. Perhaps you are returning from maternity leave, have caring responsibilities or are just looking for an opportunity that would offer better work-life balance.
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years working in a craft or tech role. Departments where placements are offered are likely to include:
- Art department
- Hair and make up
- Costume and wardrobe
- Sound
- Camera.
The programme will start in September where we will run a job-share event to pair people up, and run training and coaching sessions.
The dates and length of the placements themselves cannot be confirmed until they are secured, however they are likely to run between October and March. Because the contract is dictated by the roles of the successful applicants, show scheduling will play a part in the start dates. Once the programme begins, the aim is that you will be employed for a continuous period of around four months.
The deadline is 5pm on the 15th September 2021.
