FILMING POLICY UPDATE : COVID-19
FILMING IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS (Streets) – filming & photography proposals reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
FILMING ON COUNCIL ESTATES: Proposals for filming in exterior communal areas considered on a case by case basis – no filming inside residential blocks.
This policy currently applies until Sunday 16th May 2021 – we will continue to assess, review and update in due course.
Enfield Film Office is accepting enquiries & applications for filming & photography for all other locations in the borough.
We have developed additional COVID-19 T&Cs detailing actions and requirements that productions must factor into their filming applications – all will be subject to agreement & approval on a case by case basis.
Productions must allow for sufficient/additional lead time for planning, liaison and review of COVID-19 measures and requirements and appreciate that not all locations will be currently available to accommodate filming.
National lockdown in England from 4th January 2021
While this introduces additional restrictions, particularly in social settings, work activity is permitted to continue – including COVID-secure film and television production. By continuing to follow the approved COVID-19 guidance highlighted below, Film and TV production will be able to continue in the Capital and locations can continue to accommodate shoots and recces that are carried out in-line with the guidance.
It is essential that all filming activity is carried out in a COVID secure manner and that industry guidance is rigorously adhered to.
Enfield Film Office is responsible for managing all filming and photographic permissions in the borough.
Enfield is the northern most borough in London and one of its largest. Formerly three separate municipals of Southgate, Enfield and Edmonton, the borough encompasses a vast wealth of green space including several large parks such as Oakwood, Jubilee and Trent Park and an architectural makeup of traditional Victorian terraced housing and more modern cul-de-sacs.
Our range of locations include the iconic Forty Hall and Estate, a stunning 1620s Manor House, Enfield Market, a multi award winning charter market and various leisure centres, libraries and community centres which are available to film in. Enfield Film Office is in a unique position to help a wide variety of productions and filmmakers to source, plan and manage location shoots with ease and efficiency.
