In the last month, we have seen a variety of exciting enquiries & productions filming in Enfield.
Enfield is a dynamic borough full of opportunities and diverse locations. Here are some of our favourite productions from the past month.
Enfield Film Office in the Community
Mama Youth Project working with What’s Up TV shot in both the spectacular Forty Hall & Grovelands Park. Their focus is on the misrepresentation of people from under-represented groups in the media that negatively affects society. They give young people the opportunity to have a meaningful career that allows them to become self-sustainable, often taking them out off the benefits system and turning them into positive role models for their peers. By involving young people in creating a national TV show they also help break down negative stereotypes of young people today.
It’s great to have Mama Youth creating opportunities in and around the borough. Follow the link here to find out more about their work!
Ross Kemp in Edmonton Cemetery
ITV Documentary Hatton Garden: The Inside Story filmed with us at the beginning of the month in Edmonton Cemetery. The story focused on John ‘Kenny’ Collins, one of the Hatton Garden gang speaking out on the allusive £14million robbery in April 2015. Edmonton Cemetery situated in Winchmore Hill boasts an empty chapel and a variety of graves & manicured backdrops.
Broomfield Park – Gotta catch ’em all!
This wonderful park located in the heart of Palmers Green has also seen an influx of filming recently – partly due to the diverse wildlife of Pokemon! Maverick Media filmed an online video for a Pokemon Go Community Event at this diverse parkland. Pikachu and Squirtle were springing up all over the place earlier this month, resulting in fully grown men rolling around the grass & hiding in the bushes in order to catch ‘em all! Broomfield Park isn’t the only park with strange sightings this month – Trent Park had a fairy in the forest filming for an online video for the Estonian Drinks Brand “OSEL Birch”. It appears Enfield is being overrun by mystical creatures!
Annabelle Comes Home to Forty Hall
From the creators of Annabelle Creations, Annabelle Comes Home is the 7th instalment in the Conjuring Universe Franchise. The Hook Group recently filmed an online promotional video for the film, inspired by The Antiques Roadshow. Nestled in leafy Enfield, Forty Hall is a Jacobean Manor house set amidst an idyllic landscape, it is one of Englands finest historic houses and offered a perfect backdrop for this unique brief. We can’t wait to see the results!
We look forward to seeing what joys productions choose to embrace in Enfield over the coming months!
